Langen (dpa -AFX) – Air travelers can set up stable flight operations this summer, according to the German air traffic control (DFS). The federal society in Langen near Frankfurt has been well prepared for air traffic in the current summer since autumn.
The company organizes civil and military air traffic in German airspace with four control centers and Towern at 15 international airports. This is still part of the still inconsistent European airspace.

According to DFS, the approximately 2,200 air traffic controllers also deal with increasing external problems. In 2024, the number of extreme weather events increased by 83 percent compared to the previous year. Geopolitical crises such as in the Middle East or the Ukraine War restrict the airspace.
