Against disappointing S04: Lidberg ends Darmstadt’s negative series

Darmstadt 98 has gained a rare experience of achievement against FC Schalke 04. The lilies end a longer bankruptcy series.

Now Darmstadt 98 – as the last team of the 2nd Bundesliga – has achieved the first second round victory. After a draw and four defeats in series, the team of coach Florian Kohfeldt in the traditional stadium at the Böllenfall goal was a deserved 2-0 (2: 0) success against FC Schalke 04.

In this way, the lilies in the table moved to 12th place and thus immediately in front of the Ruhr area club. Both teams bubble around the league in the no man’s land. Lilien attacker Isac Linberg ensured the lily success with his goals.

Van Wonderen criticizes Schalke Willingness to perform

Fraser only hits the post

The Hessen also remained the game -determining, better team. The Schalke, who had to compete without the short -term attacker Kenen Karaman, not only disappointed in the first half and were also lucky that attacker Fraser Hornby only hit the post after 23 minutes and did not increase the result.

Schalke’s Grüger sees yellow-red

After all, despite the outnumbered, the Ruhr area club managed to prevent further goals, but this changed nothing in the weak performance of the S04 and the deserved victory of the Darmstadt.
