N247: adjustments and maintenance
The province of Noord-Holland will carry out major maintenance on the N247 between Volendam and Amsterdam in the coming month. Last week the intersection at ‘t Schouw was closed for work until Friday.
On Friday 26 September at 8 p.m. another part of the provincial road will close: this time from the Bernhardbrug in Monnickendam until just past the intersection with the N244 near Volendam. The closure lasts until Monday 27 October 5 am. During this period, intersections are adjusted and there will be a physical separation between the bus lane and the lanes between Monnickendam and the Zeddeweg.
Midwives have to detour for 30 minutes
Emergency and emergency services are allowed to pass, also line buses and (moped) bicycles can go to the work.
