On December 2nd, Gottschalk will be taking you through the past decades for Disney’s birthday on RTL.
Just a week after Thomas Gottschalk’s “Wetten Dass..?” farewell, he can be seen again in a Saturday evening show: On December 2nd, at prime time, Gottschalk will host “Disney 100 – The Big Anniversary Show” together with Victoria Swarovski. The show can be seen on RTL at 8:15 p.m.
What’s RTL doing for Disney’s 100th birthday?
With their moderation, “Thomas Gottschalk and Victoria Swarovski take us through all decades of Disney history,” says the press release for the show. From the invention of Mickey Mouse to the first animated film “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs” to the new blockbusters such as “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Avatar: The Way of Water” – in other words: the anniversary show is intended to celebrate Disney’s entire work become.
In addition to the presenter duo, stars such as Giovanni Zarrella, Motsi Mabuse, Michael “Bully” Herbig, Riccardo Simonetti and Palina Rojinski also take the stage. Mickey and Minnie Mouse also make an appearance and are guests of honor.
The show cannot be streamed, but only runs at 8:15 p.m. on RTL. However, Disney’s own streaming service, Disney+, has many specials to mark its 100th birthday.
No Disney without music
The anniversary show also features the musical classics of Disney history. Among others, Yvonne Catterfeld and Tom Beck sing their interpretation of “Beauty and the Beast” at the opening and Alexander Klaws performs “My Heart Belongs to You” from the musical “Tarzan”.
