After victory – Jürgen Klopp gives away beer to his own fans

Jürgen Klopp was in a good mood after Liverpool’s 3-1 win at Crystal Palace – and also let the fans of the Premier League table second in attendance participate.

After championship competitor Manchester City had blundered in the 1-1 draw in Southampton the day before, Liverpool FC took advantage of the moment. Coach Jürgen Klopp’s team won 3-1 at Crystal Palace on Sunday. The joy in the Reds camp was great. Also with coach Klopp. He had a little surprise in store for his own followers.

Before the Reds started the almost five-hour journey home to the north-west of England in their team bus, the popular coach got off the bus briefly on Sunday to the cheers of the waiting fans at Selhurst Park.

With a grin on his face, the 54-year-old handed a few bottles of beer to the enthusiastic Liverpool fans who had been waiting outside the stadium in south London. Then Klopp disappeared back into the team bus. A corresponding video showing the scene was well received on Twitter and has already been viewed more than 1.3 million times.

Previously, Crystal Palace had made things difficult for the guests from Liverpool. The Reds took the lead through Virgil van Dijk (8th minute) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (32nd). After Odsonne Édouards’ goal (55′), Liverpool was under pressure for a long time until Fabinho (89′) converted a controversial penalty and thus made the decision.
