Wednesday was a black day for the secular Turks in Turkey. Their prospective presidential candidate, Ekrem Imamoglu, was arrested and thrown into the tank. Not because he has been guilty of ‘corruption’ and is ‘state -dangerous’, as the regime claims, but because he became too great a threat to Erdogan’s power.
