The charities are mostly Hollywood-related. The Make-A-Film Foundation enables children with life-threatening illnesses to make short films. They get support from big names in the film industry. Johnny Depp has also worked on such a short film.

The Painted Turtle is a summer camp near Lake Elizabeth, California that is free for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. The charity was once financed by Paul Newman, among others.

The “Tetiaroa Society” has set itself the task of preserving the Tetiaroa Atoll in the Pacific. Marlon Brando was once a tenant of Tetiaroa.

The other two charities are dedicated to protecting indigenous life. The Amazonia Fund Alliance is active in the Amazon region, while the Red Feather supports Native Americans.
