After the death of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, numerous sports organizers reacted and interrupted or canceled planned competitions.

The English Football League, which is responsible for the second, third and fourth divisions of English football, wants to make a decision for the weekend on Friday morning. The ELF announced that this should be done in coordination with other sports.

It was not clear from the published message of condolence whether the Premier League football games scheduled for the coming days would also be cancelled.

According to the US news agency AP, horse races were canceled and the competitions planned for Friday were canceled. National rugby games are not to take place at the weekend, the organizers of the Tour of Britain have canceled the Friday stage of the cycling tour. All justified their decision with respect for Queen Elizabeth II.
