In the serious riots before the Conference League game of the Bundesliga soccer club 1. FC Köln at OGC Nice, there were 32 injuries, including one seriously injured.
This was announced by the police prefecture after the final whistle in Nice. During the game, which started 50 minutes late due to the riots, there were no more incidents.
Over 650 police officers and 600 security guards were deployed. The prefecture condemned “the unacceptable behavior of a few dozen drunk ultras”. The identification of the perpetrators is in progress.
