Midfielder Marco Richter has taken part in team training at Hertha BSC for the first time since his testicular cancer operation. The 24-year-old entered the training ground together with his teammate Maximilian Mittelstädt.
Before the Hertha training camp in mid-June, Richter was diagnosed with a testicular tumor that required an operation. Unlike Timo Baumgartl (1. FC Union Berlin) and Sébastien Haller (Borussia Dortmund), Richter does not have to undergo chemotherapy for cancer.
The 24-year-old resumed individual training at the beginning of August.
New signing Jean-Paul Boëtius took part in team training for the first time on Tuesday. Hertha announced his commitment on Monday.
