After Schult now white: Second Wolfsburg keeper injured

Four days before the DFB Cup semifinals at German champions FC Bayern Munich, the second goalkeeper of the VfL Wolfsburg team was injured.

Lisa Weiß suffered an injury to her right hand during training and will therefore have to undergo surgery in Berlin next week. The 34-year-old will therefore no longer be able to play this season, VfL said.

Germany goalkeeper Almuth Schult had already pulled her shoulder the previous weekend. However, their use on Easter Sunday in Munich is at least not ruled out. In addition to the DFB Cup, the Wolfsburg women can also win the German championship and the Champions League this season. In the Bundesliga they are in first place after a 6-0 win against Bayern, in international competition they meet the defending champions FC Barcelona in the semi-finals.
