Prussia Münster made the sixth newcomer perfect. Defender Marco Meyerhöfer comes free of charge after his departure from SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The 29-year-old’s expiring contract had not been extended in the cloverleaf. Meyerhöfer has so far been able to demonstrate 116 second division and 26 Bundesliga games. The new striker Oscar Vilhelmsson (21) in the upper house was just as often on the pitch, otherwise nobody in the team has more Bundesliga experience.

“Marco is a really good footballer and has proven this for years in Fürth at a high level. Our game system is very dynamic and it helps when players feel comfortable in different positions. Marco also brings with them,” said sports director Ole Kittner.

Meyerhöfer said: “I had really good conversations with the coach and with Ole Kittner and am now totally looking forward to the task here. The game idea that the coach showed me suits me very well and I think that I can perform my best possible performance here. In the last two games against Münster, I saw what is the mood here, what is possible with the team and in the environment.
