“It was cold and grim,” says Ozan Kökcü about last season. Then the acquisition of FC Volendam was under contract with the Finnish HJK Helsinki. He did not have a lot of fun in the Scandinavian country. “I missed the pleasure there, although I did play European matches.”
Telstar
In the Netherlands, Kökcü played for clubs such as FC Eindhoven and Telstar. At the Velsenaren, he was under contract from 2021 to 2022. In total, the Haarlemmer now has 134 duels in the first division behind his name, but not yet matches at the highest level. “I had the goal to take a step to the Eredivisie before, but in football things always turn differently.”
