How did the fall result in death? The police are continuing to investigate.

Two other hotel workers have been charged in connection with Liam Payne’s death. This was reported by the American “Rolling Stone” on Tuesday (December 10th) after viewing new documents. However, it is still unclear what exactly the two are accused of.

Was only medical support requested instead of police too?

Almost two months after the former One Direction member’s fatal fall from the third floor balcony of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, documents were filed that incriminate two other hotel employees. On the one hand, this was the manager of the hotel and, on the other hand, the receptionist who called the emergency number on October 16th, the day of Payne’s death. Before Payne fell from the balcony, the receptionist named in the new documents made a total of two emergency calls. In the first call, he reported that one of the guests had “trashed the entire room,” and in the second call, he insisted that the guest’s life “may be in danger.” The receptionist demanded that only the medical emergency service be sent and not the police.

“Since there are sufficient grounds to suspect that they were involved in the crime under investigation, we are asking the following people to testify,” the file, which Rolling Stone has seen, allegedly says. While there is no specific mention of what the two defendants are accused of, the judge insists that all suspects must be questioned to find out what happened the night of Payne’s fall.

They’re not the only suspects

Before the hotel manager and receptionist were charged, three other suspects had already been arrested in connection with Liam Payne’s death. These include two other hotel employees who are said to have supplied the 31-year-old with drugs. This is particularly important because the toxicology report showed that Payne had several substances in his body at the time of his death – including prescription antidepressants, alcohol and cocaine. The third suspect was a friend who is accused of neglect of a person resulting in death.

All five people named by the judge must now stand trial. After the interrogations, it is up to the judge to decide whether the individual defendants should be further prosecuted or dismissed from the case.

The new findings surrounding the singer’s death come almost three weeks after his funeral. Payne was buried at a private ceremony in Amersham, England. The ceremony was attended not only by his former bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, but also by their former talent scout Simon Cowell, who formed the five then teenagers into the band that would later become world famous as One Direction.
