Aarón Martín has found a new club after leaving after the end of his contract with 1. FSV Mainz 05. The Italian first division promoted Genoa CFC confirmed the signature of the 26-year-old left-back on Monday evening. Martín, who is on a free transfer, has reportedly signed with the Grifoni until 2026.
As of now, in coach Alberto Gilardino’s squad, only central defender Radu Dragusin (21), who was hired out on loan, has a higher market value than Martín at 8 million euros. The Spaniard is valued at €7m. In recent months, the TM rumor mill has repeatedly discussed whether the defender will remain in the Bundesliga, with Eintracht Frankfurt and Werder Bremen being traded.
