Shownieuws is slowly becoming the new hotspot of politics in The Hague. After Rob Jetten’s frequent performances, we saw Caroline van der Plas at the desk last night.
A close bond has recently developed between future Prime Minister Rob Jetten and the editors of Shownieuws. We see him every now and then in the show section chatting about his sweetheart Nicolás Keenan. In fact, he chose the program as just one of three media outlets to whom he wanted to give an end-of-year interview.
No politics
Caroline van der Plas knows the way to Show news can now also be found. She sat at the desk last night to talk about her performance in the program Het Weren 2 Fantastische Dagen, but in the meantime she also chatted about Steven Kazàn’s breakup and other show topics.
No politics were discussed. Presenter Dyantha Brooks: “We of course know you as the party leader of the BBB, but today we are going to talk about light-hearted things – you already notice, because we are only talking about Valentine’s Day and skating.”
Lighthearted things
Caroline thinks it’s nice not to talk about politics. “Wonderful, finally some lighthearted things.”
Dyantha: “But it wasn’t that light during your stay in 2 Fantastic Days.”
Caroline: “There were some intense moments, yes. I was glad that there weren’t people there that I thought: as long as it isn’t that one.”
“I’m not saying!”
The BBB leader was in the interview show with Estelle Gullit and Ruud de Wild. Who did she absolutely not want to be with? “I’m not going to say that. I’m not going to people… I really said about a number of people: ‘I really don’t want that’, but well, I didn’t know,” says Caroline.
“You come in and you don’t know who is there. I really liked that Ruud de Wild was there. I have been following him for years. He has been in the business for so long and I was his guest once. Estelle actually completely surprised me.”
Dyantha: “Positive?”
Caroline: “In the end, yes. She is great fun, very funny and very caring.”
