The canvas seems to have fallen definitively for RKC. Due to a 2-0 loss at Feyenoord, a miracle has to be done to have a chance to win enforcement. Willem II also loses, but place 16 seems to be sure.

After the Feyenoord supporters showed a beautiful banner to commemorate the war in Rotterdam, eight hours were kicked off in De Kuip. In the first fifteen minutes, RKC came out dangerous for the first time. A counter from the book ended in front of Mohamed Ihattaren, who almost surprised Feyenoord keeper Wellenreuther with a shot.

Shortly thereafter, striker Oskar Zawada had to stop fighting and so captain Michiel Kramer, who is normally often brought as a battering ram, could enter the field cold. Not much later it was a Bene Kramer who took a ball off the line. RKC showed very well -cared for football at times and keeper Spenkelink seemed unacceptable in the first half. Yet it went wrong a few seconds before half time for Henk Fraser’s team. A pass from Feyenoord was headed in by Igor Paixão, who put the 1-0 halftime on the board.

After the break, RKC was hardly involved. The only spark of hope that there was still there was definitively broken in the 69th minute by Feyenoord striker Ayase Ueda. RKC barely created more opportunities, but continued to fight full. Unfortunately this no longer helped and it remained 2-0.

Due to this loss, relegation seems inevitable to RKC. The club must hope on Sunday in a rarely shown miracle to grab the last straw for sixteenth place.

Panic in Tilburg
Willem II again did not win. After half an hour of play, it was Younes Namli from PEC Zwolle who hurt the Tilburgers with a beautiful long shot. The Tricolores themselves did not get further than a few shots.

In short, it still seemed to be fine in the sold -out King Willem II Stadium. Jesse Bosch made the equalizer in the 72nd minute. But unfortunately the joy was of short duration. In the 79th minute, PEC Zwolle made the 1-2. It remained in Tilburg and so Willem II continues the bad series of 2025, in which it was not yet won.

For a long time it seemed to be exciting for Willem II on Sunday. Almere City was ahead of almost the entire game and would approach Willem II to two points. Fortunately for the Tilburgers, Fortuna Sittard scored the same in the 79th minute, so that place 16 for Willem II certainly seemed to go into the play-offs.

Last chance RKC
For RKC the canvas seems to have fallen. Henk Fraser’s team has to make up for a hole of three points and a difference in goal balance of ten in the last game against Go Ahead Eagles to pass Willem II.

With a sixteenth place, Willem II is also not sure of body preservation in the Eredivisie. It will then have to compete in the play-offs with clubs from the Kitchen Champion Division to be able to end up in the Eredivisie again next season.

NAC Breda, which is already safe for relegation, lost 3-0 to NEC.
