Four years ago, Anniko Firman (20) in The Hague was about to make her dream come true: studying at the prestigious University of Cambridge. But just before she could pack her suitcases, she lost her mother to Corona. Her future suddenly seemed insecure, but Anniko did not give up. In the meantime she has completed her bachelor with high marks and is working on her research master in the classical languages. “My mother would have wanted it that way.”
