New music from Harry Styles: Details about “Aperture”, the production with Kid Harpoon, the photographic symbolism & the album release in March.
Harry Styles is back with new music. After a break of over three years, the first single “Aperture” from his fourth studio album entitled “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” will be released on Friday, January 23rd, which will be released on March 6th, 2026.
The news doesn’t catch fans completely unprepared: in the run-up to the release, the Brit posted cryptic messages around the world, including the note “Let the light in” – a direct allusion to the title of the debut single.
Photographic symbolism as a central concept
For better understanding, the song title “Aperture” has its origins in photography and refers to the aperture, which controls how much light falls on a camera’s sensor. This imagery runs through the entire campaign: Harry Styles published an Instagram story with an animation that shows the single’s lettering – opening and closing, letting in and blocking out light. Another Instagram post shows the pop star smiling in the recording studio.
Parallel to the album announcement, a new merch collection was also launched, which includes, among other things, a limited box set with a rechargeable 35 mm film camera – a further reference to the overall photo concept.
This is what “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” looks like:
Collaboration with a proven team of producers
“Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally” is the successor to the 2022 record “Harry’s House”. The new work includes twelve tracks and was once again created in collaboration with long-time co-author and producer Kid Harpoon, who has also made an international name for himself through his work with Florence + the Machine and Inhaler.
Good prospects: “Harry’s House” won the Album of the Year award at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
This is how Harry Styles is happy about “Aperture” on Instagram:
Comeback after more than three years
The release of “Aperture” ends a hiatus of over 1,300 days since Styles’ last music release. The artist’s return is expected by fans worldwide after he withdrew from the public eye following the success of “Harry’s House” and its world tour.
