The twenties was arrested in Sperone, in southern Italy, in the Campania region. Agents of the headquarters of the province of Avellina performed – after his residence was outdated – an investigation and arrest warrant that had been issued against the man from the Netherlands.

The Romanian was involved in a serious traffic accident in our country, where a victim had been seriously injured.

The man was temporarily free to wait for his trial freely, but did not comply with the conditions. They were, among other things, that he was not allowed to leave the country without permission. Before he could be convicted, he fled and was without a trace for a long time.

He was found in Sperone, brought to the border and transferred to the Dutch authorities, reports the Italian medium Il Mattino. When and where the accident took place that would have caused the Romanian was not announced.

It is striking that last month another Romanian road pirate was arrested at the request of our country. In this case it concerned a 22-year-old Romanian who was searched for by the Netherlands due to several serious traffic violations. He was arrested in his home country.

Sperone is a municipality in a historic and geographical region in southern Italy, in the interior of the Campania region, about 35 kilometers from the city of Naples.

Campania has a considerable Romanian community. Since the 1990s, many Romanians have emigrated to Italy in search of work, especially in agriculture, care and construction.
