After a positive corona test, Mikaela Shiffrin missed the World Cup in Lienz – Alpine skiing – winter sports

This season is Mikaela Shiffrin again the measure of all things for women in alpine skiing. The 26-year-old has already clinched three victories this winter and is at the top of the overall World Cup with 750 points.

With their two podium places in Courchevel she drew level with Annemarie Moser-Pröll, who had managed to finish in the top three 114 times. Shiffrin’s compatriot only Lindsey Vonn (137) succeeded in doing this even more frequently.

Shiffrin is “fine” after a positive test

Your hunt for the record must be US-American but first expose. As Shiffrin announced on Monday on Twitter, she tested positive for the corona virus and must at least pass the World Cup in Lienz (December 28/29, 2021). There, with the slalom and giant slalom, their favorite disciplines were on the program.

I wanted to let you all know that I am fine, but unfortunately I had a positive Covid test. I’ll follow the protocol and isolate myself and I’ll miss Lienz“wrote Shiffrin.”I thank you all for your support. See you in the new year.“The next competition – again in slalom – will take place in Zagreb on January 4th.
