After a mini excursion at VOC, handball player Naomi Gooyers returns to SEW

Only six months after her departure, Naomi Gooyers returns to SEW. Due to a lack of playing time at VOC, the club’s child is back in Nibbixwoud.

Gooyers had suggested more about her switch to national champion VOC. In Amsterdam she received few playing minutes from coach Rachèl de Haze. “We also thought that Naomi would quickly add value to VOC with her creative play. It is therefore a shame that she was not able to show what she is capable of,” says Mike Schouten, board member of SEW

“It feels like coming home,” says Gooyers, after having played handball on the other side of the province for only six months. “I am extremely excited to wear the blue of SEW again and I hope that I can immediately contribute to achieving European handball this season.”

SEW currently occupies seventh place in the handball premier league. VOC from Amsterdam is currently second behind leader Venlo.
