After almost two years of rehabilitation, Landslake Lions basketball player Tanya Bröring hopes to make her return to the basketball court after Christmas. “I shouldn’t get too hung up on it, but I hope to make my return just after Christmas,” said Bröring.

In January 2022, Bröring suffered a serious knee injury during the match between Landslake Lions and Den Helder. This was followed by surgery and a long rehabilitation. “I’m doing well. I’m just not where I want to be yet, but I have hope. If it’s up to me, I’ll make my comeback, but I have an unreliable knee.”

Good season

The return of the former international will therefore have to wait a while. Landslake Lions is having a good season. The basketball players from Landsmeer are second in the Premier League behind national champion Grasshoppers.

“We are going to fight for the title. We are not the favorite. That is Grasshoppers. We have to work hard to have a chance, but it is possible,” Landslake Lions coach Chris van Kampen said earlier this season.
