“For me it is clear that I am no longer here after this season”: After the point win against HSV Schalke coach Kees van Wonderen, talked about his future.
Kees van Wonderen goes from one end of his time as a coach at FC Schalke 04 After this season of the 2nd football-Bundesliga. “I have to enjoy the four games that are still coming now,” said the Dutch after the 2-2 against Hamburger SV.

Upon request, the coach specified whom the criticism was directed in the club management. Does this mean the CEO Matthias Tillmann? “For example,” replied Van Wonderen and added to Jahn Regensburg in the previous week: “It would be normal for him (Tillmann, note of the editor to be) stand next to you and say: ‘But we go on sometimes. But we continue because our path is clear.’ Instead, you don’t hear and I think there is a shame behind the scenes that there are doubts.
The successor are traded
Van Wonderen did not start his coaching position at Schalke at the beginning of October. His contract is still valid until 2026. In 22 games below him, the team got 30 points. Most recently, several coaching candidates were traded for the next season in media, including Paderborn Lukas Kwasniok, former Belgian national coach Domenico Tedesco and the former Schalke player Raúl.
Despite a long outnumber, Schalke had saved a point against the HSV despite a long outnumber through the goal of Moussa Sylla (81st minute).
