Thanks to top striker Victor Osimhen, Nigeria’s national team is already in the round of 16 at the Africa Cup of Nations. The three-time champion won his second group game against Tunisia 3-2 (1-0). Osimhen took the lead shortly before halftime (44th minute).
After the restart, Wilfred Ndidi (50th) and the convincing former Leipzig player Ademola Lookman (67th) stepped up and initially made it clear. Montassar Talbi (74th) and Ali Abdi converted a penalty (87th) once again created excitement. In the end, the favorite celebrated. Nigeria had already won the first duel with Tanzania (2:1).
