There will be a new connecting road between the E40 and Middelkerke. The road would start at the Westendelaan roundabout in Middelkerke and end at the roundabout in Slijpe, near the E40. For example, the seaside town must be more accessible, something that Mayor Jean-Marie Dedecker has been advocating for years.
It is not a highway so you can drive 70 kilometers per hour, but you cannot thwart the road. That is annoying for many farmers in the region.
