AFC bends backlog against Kozak Boys, Jong Volendam finished before half time with GVVV

AFC looked at a disadvantage in Werkendam for a long time, but halfway through the second half, the team from Amsterdam stepped up their game. As a result, the team won 1-3 at Kozak Boys with Uli Landvreugd. Jong FC Volendam also did good business in the second division against last-placed GVVV (2-1 win).

AFC suddenly found themselves behind in the 22nd minute when Gwaeren Stout gave the home team the lead. The number fifteen of the second division kept it up until the 66th minute. The team from Amsterdam got help from Gino Creutzberg, because he worked the ball into his own goal: 1-1. Daniel Zoutberg then turned the game around personally. Three minutes after the equalizer, he scored the 2-1 and just before time he decided the game 3-1 in favor of AFC.

Young FC Volendam

At the Dijk, the team of trainer Kiki Musampa made short work of GVVV before half-time. The promises from Volendam took the lead in the 28th minute via Younes Taha El Idrissi and on the stroke of half-time Jim Beers doubled the lead. In the 83rd minute, the visitors seemed to get back into the game thanks to an own goal by Kayne van Oevelen, but GVVV didn’t get any further than that.

AFC climbs to second place with 35 points from 19 games thanks to the win. That is the same as Koninklijke HFC, but the team from Amsterdam has a better goal difference. Thanks to the victory, Jong FC Volendam is in 10th place with 27 points from 20 matches.
