The Niedersachsensenderby takes place in Braunschweig at the end of October. Now it is finally clear when and where fans can get tickets.
For football fans in Lower Saxony it is probably the game of the year: On October 26th, Eintracht Braunschweig and their eternal rivals Hannover 96 meet for the Niedersachsensenderby in the Eintracht Stadium. The club has now announced how fans can get tickets.
According to a police decision, it has been clear since Tuesday that there are no personalized tickets for away fans. Police Vice President Uwe Lange said: “The trusting discussions between those involved, the club and the police have now led to a significant improvement in the security concept.” The police are therefore refraining from taking the measure. In addition, Hannover 96 is allowed to fully occupy the guest block. Read more about this here.
The BTSV welcomes this decision in favor of the fans: “Against this background, the Lions are very happy that, thanks to extensive efforts, there are no further restrictive measures,” said the club. It is the chance to prove that the fan scenes are capable of “carrying out and accompanying such games without violence, but in an atmospheric manner and with a positive fan culture.”
Eintracht Braunschweig can now start advance sales for the Niedersachsensenderby: The first of three phases begins on Thursday, October 9th (10 a.m.).
All members of the club may strike first. All you need to do is submit your membership application to the office by October 6th – anyone who decides to join after that still has to wait.
In the second phase, advance sales will open for season ticket holders on October 10th (from 10 a.m.). If there are still tickets left, all fans who have already bought a ticket since the 2022/23 season will be eligible on October 11th (from 10 a.m.).
The prices for tickets in the 2025/26 season start at 23 euros, the most expensive seat is 43.50 euros. Standing tickets cost 19 euros. Children and young people pay 10 euros.
In the DFB U17 youth league there was already a Lower Saxony senderby at the beginning of October. On October 3rd, Eintracht Braunschweig made it 1-1 thanks to Petr Vlasov’s late equalizer – equivalent to their first point win of the season.
And the duel is already very explosive among the juniors: “These duels are traditionally characterized by rivalry and are followed closely throughout the club,” said BTSV press spokesman Luca Podlech to t-online. However, the development of young players is even more important. “The pressure that lies on a professional derby cannot and should not be transferred here – our talents should see such games as valuable experience for their future path,” said Podlech.
