It never became a real winner. Evan Rottier opened the scoring for ADO in the first half with a shot into the top left corner after a quick attack. Just before half time, Steven van der Sloot headed home from a corner to make it 2-0. In the second half, the ball ended up via a defender’s foot to Juho Kilo, who effectively scored the third goal. Cameron Peupion made the 4-0 final score with a shot low into the right corner.
Cambuur triumphs in GelreDome
Cambuur dealt a heavy blow to Vitesse. The Arnhem team had good morale due to the good results, but they lost hard at home against the number two (0-4). Mark Diemers’ 0-2 was one to remember. The former Feyenoord received the ball about eighteen meters from the goal and shot very nicely.
Remco Balk had already opened the score and also scored in injury time in the first half. Tony Rolke determined the final score after the break.
ADO Den Haag remains in the lead thanks to the victory. Coach Robin Peter’s team has 40 points from fourteen games. SC Cambuur, which won 4-0 against Vitesse, has 33 points from fifteen matches.
