Adler Mannheim react to a shortage of strikers

The Adler Mannheim from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) have responded to the injuries of several strikers and signed Magnus Eisenmenger from the Swedish second division team AIK Stockholm.

The 23-year-old, whose older brother Maximilian has been playing in Mannheim since the summer and is currently playing for the national team in the Germany Cup, has a contract until the end of the season.

“Despite his young age, Magnus has already played in several leagues at different levels, he still knows the DEL from his time in Augsburg and Frankfurt,” said Adler manager Jan-Axel Alavaara: “Magnus knows what it means to play hard to work and push himself to his limits. He is also technically adept and well trained as a runner.”

Eisenmenger grew up in Sweden, moved to Germany for the first time in 2018 and played for the Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the DNL. The former U20 international played 87 DEL games for the Augsburger Panther and Löwen Frankfurt before returning to Sweden.
