Sporting goods manufacturer Adidas and the Israeli textile group Delta Galil Industries Ltd. jointly present underwear collections for Adidas Originals and Badge of Sports. According to the motto of the new collections, “Comfort is our sport”, all items are made of extra-soft cotton and are designed to take part in all movements and sporting activities.
Specifically, Adidas’ “Adicolor Comfort Flex Cotton” was combined with Delta Galil’s Realasting technology to ensure shape and feel even after multiple washes. Tencel cotton makes the items extra soft and breathable, while 720 degree stretch ensures they adapt to any body type. Recycled and unbleached yarn has also been used in some products, as well as Refibra Cotton made from upcycled cotton.
“We are witnessing a significant shift in the way people value underwear and comfort – and both are more important than ever. Delta Galil has a long tradition in this market and we are very excited to introduce these versatile Adidas collections to the world. Comfort is key in this category, and these collections are made to move with the wearer,” commented Victoria Vandagriff, president of D2 Brands owned by Schiesser mother Delta Galil, in a statement.
The new lingerie collections consist of items of clothing such as thongs, bikinis, briefs, trunks and boxer shorts as well as sports bras, undershirts with integrated bras, tank tops, body suits and t-shirts. The sizes range from XS to 3XL and the prices from around 13 euros to 60 euros.
The men’s collections will be launched in spring/summer 22 in the Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America region and the women’s collections will also be launched in North America. The Adidas Originals and Badge of Sport collections are available now in stores as well as at select online retailers worldwide including DTLR, Nordstrom, Amazon and Zalando and soon on the Adidas website.
