Adele interrupts Las Vegas show and bursts into tears

Adele has been performing every weekend for a year now as part of her residency in Las Vegas. Now the show on October 29th brought with it some unexpected events. Not only was the British singer dressed up in a Morticia Addams costume – in keeping with Halloween. There was also a very special guest among the 4,000 spectators who moved Adele to tears.

The musician stopped her song “When We Were Young” in the middle of her performance to greet an old acquaintance. “Oh my God, Colin!” said Adele, surprised. “This is my doctor who delivered my baby,” she told her audience. The 35-year-old then burst into tears as she walked up a few steps to the surprise guest who was responsible for the birth of her son Angelos in 2012. “My son turned eleven a few weeks ago and he’s no longer a baby, that’s crazy,” said the musician about her offspring.

Adele is already collecting baby names

But the encounter apparently triggered even more in her. “I’m desperate for another baby, Colin, damn it, I might call you,” Adele revealed to the entire audience. This wasn’t the first time the musician had expressed this wish. In August 2023, she said at one of her residency shows: “I really want to be a mother again soon.” The statement came after a viewer asked her for help choosing her baby name. “I actually wrote lists,” said the singer. “Every time I see a name that I like, I write it on my cell phone.” And her current partner, sports agent Rich Paul, would also like to have a child and is already collecting names, Adele continued.

As early as 2022, the singer told the US magazine “Elle” about her desire to have children. “I definitely want more children. I am a housewife and a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music,” says the singer. “Right now all I have on my mind is Vegas. I want to fucking make it,” she added of her residency.

During her gig, Adele also remembered Matthew Perry, who died on October 28 at the age of 54. She paused during her performance and spoke into the microphone: “I will remember this character for the rest of my life. He is probably the best comedy character of all time.” The Brit is referring to Chandler Bing, whom Perry played in “Friends”.
