Adele causes pre-sale stress: This is how it works with the tickets

How to survive the most stressful presale week of the year. Word!

The time has come: Adele is coming to Germany, for the first time since 2016. In August, the British superstar will give four concerts in Munich, in a “unique arena” that has “a combination of seating, seating and standing room with a capacity for around 80,000 fans per evening,” as the organizer writes.

The location will even be built specifically for this purpose. That’s all well and good, but real Adele fans probably don’t feel stressed because construction workers have to do a lot of work until then. But because it is already clear that the total of 320,000 tickets will be sold out in no time. Simply because Adele will only be appearing on the continent this summer in Germany. This will definitely be Taylor Swift-level pre-sale stress.

Here is all the information and dates:

Registration to purchase tickets is now possible via adele.com and runs until Monday, February 5th, 6 p.m. Fans will have access to purchase tickets starting Tuesday, February 6th, and ticket sales for registered fans will begin on Wednesday, February 7th at 10 a.m. General advance sales are scheduled for Friday, February 9th at 10 a.m.

So much data… but which date does it matter?

The crowds are predicted to be so high that – as with Taylor Swift – you can – and should – secure “access to purchase tickets” in advance. So it started on February 7th. This offers a head start of at least one day compared to the first advance booking stage from Telekom, RTL and Ticketmaster.

Do I have any better chances through adele.com?

Each sales platform has a ticket contingent, regardless of the platform’s presale start date. So that means: Just because the Ticketmaster presale is off to a great start, doesn’t mean that there will be fewer tickets in regular advance sales.

I don’t want to register with adele.com. What now?

Anyone who regularly goes to concerts is probably already familiar with Ticketmaster and has purchased tickets there. So it’s definitely worth creating an account, it doesn’t cost anything. There you then have one day (February 8th) ahead of regular ticket sales.

Great, I didn’t get a ticket – neither from Ticketmaster, nor RTL or anywhere else…

It’s worth staying tuned at least on Friday (February 9th) and checking the advance booking pages again and again. Quotas are often resupplied that have not been sold – for example because shopping carts have expired.

There is a six day break between concerts two and three. What can that mean?

There may be additional concerts in exactly this time slot. Adele is now used to constant performances, see her residency in Las Vegas.

Ok, what about Viagogo and Co as an option?

Please leave it. The reseller market is opaque, and there are always court rulings that highlight the lack of seriousness of these second providers. Artists like Ed Sheeran, for example, do not recognize tickets purchased on Viagogo. This can lead to unpleasant surprises on site. Apart from the fact that there are always fake tickets that are sold there.
