Actor Daveigh Chase, 35, has died, reports say TMZ.
Chase’s boyfriend Roy Hernandez told the media that Chase died of meningitis and blood poisoning on Tuesday.
According to TMZ, Chase had been hospitalized in Los Angeles earlier in June due to malnutrition.
Chase became famous especially as a child actor. She is best remembered as the voice actress of the iconic Disney character Lilo in the film Lilo & Stitch.
In addition, she has played, among other things, the role of Samara Morgan in a horror film The Ring. Chase will also be remembered Hidden by spirits –as a voice actor for the English version of the film.
People magazine according to Chase’s boyfriend, Hernandez, had set up a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign when Chase’s health had deteriorated.
– His condition has deteriorated, and the doctors have said that he does not have much time left, Hernandez wrote in the description of the collection.
– He just wanted a place where we could live together, feel safe and be happy. Now if ever I want to give him that feeling of home and peace in his last days, Hernandez also wrote in the caption.
