“Achtsam Morden”: Second season with Tom Schilling confirmed

Self-optimization is very trendy – “Mindful Murder” will soon show the dark side once again.

Breathe in deeply, breathe out – and then carefully dismember the corpse with the jigsaw. Of course, never forget to let the chi flow through the body: There will soon be more of these psychohygienic killings, because the Netflix series “Mindful Morden” is getting a second season.

Successful moral balancing act

The macabre comedy-crime series is entering a new round. After the success of the first season, it’s no wonder: the darkly humorous production, based on the bestselling series of the same name by Karsten Dusse, reached the Netflix weekly top 10 in 66 countries. The book template already attracted a lot of response. The first novel has already been translated into 26 languages - the German edition has sold one and a half million copies.

Filming for the sequel is scheduled to begin next year and will ensure Björn Diemel’s (Tom Schilling) work-death balance. In the first episodes, the overworked lawyer and family man struggles to save his marriage – and begins mindfulness training with mindset guru Joshka Breitner (Peter Jordan).

The initially skeptical workaholic quickly realizes that the techniques he has learned are also ideal for certain other, bloodier activities – and Björn Diemel chooses mafia boss Dragan Sergowicz as his first guinea pig.
