Investigations are underway to establish whether it was actually one of the numerous illegal races held in the capital. Small car hit by another car traveling at high speed. A twenty-year-old died. Three other young people were injured
Two girls were traveling by car and suddenly a very violent collision threw the vehicle against a tree. They were 20 years old. One of the two died shortly after arriving at the hospital. The other is still hospitalized in serious condition. The accident happened on the evening of October 24th in Rome, in Via Cristoforo Colombo. Rescuers arrived on site, near Piazza dei Navigatori, around 10pm. In addition to the Fire Brigade and the Carabinieri, there were also officers from the local police, X Gruppo mare, who were carrying out the investigations. The vehicle that hit the girls’ car, a Mini, is a BMW, with two young people aged 20 and 22 on board. Their vehicle overturned after the impact. The two occupants of the BMW were also hospitalized.
Fatal accident in Rome, a girl dies

This is what has been ascertained so far. Then there are the hypotheses put forward by some people who were at the accident site after the fact. Some of them believe that the origin of the accident was a speed race, that is, an illegal race as often happens in the streets of the capital. The girls’ Mini, from what these hypotheses suggest, was hit while the BMW and a third car (which escaped and was not identified) were apparently racing each other. But at the moment none of these reconstructions have been confirmed by the authorities, who are working to ascertain the exact dynamics of the accident.
