The Prosecutor’s Office and the local police are evaluating the hypothesis that the G-Class involved in the fatal accident on November 16th in Viale Fulvio Testi went through a red light

The investigations relating to the accident which on 16 November in Milan caused the death of 19-year-old Pietro Silva Orrego and the serious injury of three other people are underway by the local police of the capital, coordinated by the Prosecutor’s Office with the public prosecutor Giancarla Serafini. One of the hypotheses being worked on is whether the Mercedes G-Class SUV that collided with the Opel Corsa ran a red light at the intersection between Viale Fulvio Testi and Viale Esperia. The SUV was going at a very high speed, apparently 150 km/h, therefore three times higher than the 50 km/h limit in force in urban centres.

Both drivers are under investigation for vehicular homicide. After the first tests the two tested positive for drugs. The 23-year-old driving the SUV also tested positive for alcohol. The area is monitored by cameras whose images were acquired by investigators.
