Niclas Füllkrug wants to leave West Ham United in the winter. Milan is considered the most prominent interested party. A move to Italy is gradually taking shape.
According to “Bild”, the top Italian club AC Milan has made an offer for German international striker Niclas Füllkrug. The 32-year-old, who is currently under contract with West Ham United, could move to Italy on a loan deal with an option to buy.
West Ham are said to be considering the offer. Füllkrug is aiming for the move to improve his chances of taking part in the upcoming World Cup. Most recently, national coach Julian Nagelsmann did without him.
Sky and Italian media also recently reported on the interest of the seven-time Champions League winner. Füllkrug, who moved from Borussia Dortmund to London for almost 30 million euros after the 2024 European Championship, has not yet been able to assert himself due to injury problems and two coaching changes.
From Italy it is said that Füllkrug has already reached a personal agreement with Milan on a contract until the end of the season. At the “Rossoneri”, the red-blacks, he would compete for a place in attack, including with former Bundesliga professionals Christian Pulisic and Christopher Nkunku. VfL Wolfsburg is also said to have shown interest in Füllkrug, but Milan currently seems to be the most promising option.
