Abu Dhabi: Verstappen top, Hülkenberg starts eighth

World Champion Max Verstappen took place on Saturday (11/25/23). Pole position secured for the final race of the Formula 1 season in Abu Dhabi (Sunday, 2 p.m., live ticker at sportschau.de).

The Red Bull-Pilot sat down in the Qualifying on the Yas Marina circuit against Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari and Oscar Piastri (McLaren). For Verstappen it was the fourth pole in a row at the Yas Marina Circuit and the twelfth overall in this season, which has been so dominant for the Dutchman. “Let’s wait and see how the race goes. I’m very, very proud of what we’ve achieved so far this year”said Verstappen.

Hülkenberg starts in a strong eighth place

Nico Hülkenberg (Emmerich) put in a very strong performance in his Haas and starts eighth, record world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), however, only ended up in eleventh place.
