Abbas Mohamad out of GAIS – because of sharing Andrew Tate’s contents

The Swedish society did not look favorably on the dissemination of the contents of a man suspected of serious crimes.

GAIS, which plays in Sweden’s second highest league level in Superettan, has dismantled a defender By Abbas Mohamad contract. Aftonbladet reported on the matter.

GAIS announced in its press release on Saturday that the parties have decided to go their separate ways and will not comment further on the matter.

According to Göteborgs-Posten, Mohamad got into problems with the club on social media Andrew Tate for their content-sharing posts. Tate, a former kickboxer and current social media influencer, was arrested last week in Romania on suspicion of serious crimes.

Tate, his brother Tristan Tate and two Romanian nationals were arrested in Bucharest as part of an investigation into human trafficking and organized crime. The men can be detained while the investigation continues for at least 30 days.

Against the values of the club

After the arrest, Mohamad shared an update on Instagram reminding Tate that he is “innocent until proven guilty.” On New Year’s Eve, GAIS announced on Twitter, without mentioning Mohamad’s name, that it was aware that its player had publicly supported a person suspected of crimes against women.

– This is of course against our club’s values, the club underlined.

That didn’t deter Mohamad, who was eager to share several Tate-related updates this week. In the end, they paid him a job at the Gothenburg club.

The topper with an Iraqi background had transferred to GAIS just under a month earlier.

Thunberg subdued

Before his arrest, Tate was a climate activist in a social media debate Greta Thunberg with. In his messages, Tate talked about his carbon footprint-increasing lifestyle and, among other things, announced that he would not recycle his pizza boxes, which were seen in a video.

According to Romanian media, the police received a tip about the man’s whereabouts based on the accounts’ publications.

– This is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes, Thunberg, who had the last word, tapped after the arrest.
