ABBA are currently using their social media channels very actively: while they recently kept offering their fans on Facebook small tips about “exciting news”, the Swedish pop group has now come up with something new: a new edition of the official ABBA quiz.

The last time the guessing game was in 2021, fans can now prove their knowledge of the four again: This time it’s about their 1979 hit “Chiquitita”. On the occasion of the upcoming video premiere of a new lyric video for the title, ten questions about the ballad from the album “Voulez-Vous” can be answered. On Facebook, the band encourages participants to share their results using the hashtag #ABBAQuiz.

The website states: “The ABBA quiz is finally back. The first is Chiquitita themed!” This phrasing suggests that more rounds of the game with other themes are planned in the near future. This is also supported by the possibility to register after completing the quiz in order to enter into a “friendly competition” with friends and learn more about the band.

The Spanish “Chiquitita” means “(My) little one”. The song ended up in the top five in Germany and was number 1 in over ten other countries. The band also released a Spanish version of the lovesick anthem, which also ensured success for their subsequent releases in Spanish-speaking countries.

The band recently positioned themselves on Facebook against the war in Ukraine and dedicated their hit “Ode to Freedom” to the situation. The separation of Björn Ulvaeus and his soon-to-be ex-wife Lena also caused speculation and a stir, but ABBA also have the attention on their side with their virtual avatar tour.
