ALS patient Carlos (57) can no longer do anything himself: ‘It was a wonderful life, it has been beautiful’
Last July, Carlos Oudendijk (57) was diagnosed with ALS. It turns out to be a progressive variant, it deteriorates quickly. By now he can hardly do anything and is in bed day and night. Talking is also hardly possible. Together with his wife Ellen van der Meulen (52) he looks back on the past year. “I don’t have to go anywhere anymore, it’s been a wonderful life.”
