The road surface between the two junctions will close in both directions on Friday from 8 p.m. and will reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday morning. Rijkswaterstaat says that motorists should take into account ten minutes to half an hour delay, because they have to take a detour via the A4, A10 and A2.
Closed again later in December
There is regular work on the A9 section near Amstelveen. The highway will be completely renovated and will be partly underground. A closure such as this weekend therefore occurs regularly.
Work on the project will also continue next week. The A9 will then be closed again, but only in the direction of the Holendrecht junction. The closure will also last from Friday evening to Monday morning.
