The A28 towards Meppel is closed due to an accident. That happened this morning on the A28 near Zwolle-Zuid. The road is closed from the Hattemerbroek junction. The police are investigating and are using a drone, among other things. Traffic in the direction of Drenthe can drive via Emmeloord and Heerenveen, ANWB advises.
RTV East reports that a motorist died in the accident on the A28, in which two trucks and a passenger car were involved. The passenger car got stuck between the two trucks. Another passenger in the car was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
The road is likely to be closed until 4 p.m., Rijkswaterstaat reports.
