The A28 is temporarily closed to road users from the Wijk in the direction of Meppel. The cause is a tilted trailer, which ended up in the emergency lane.
Emergency services are working to get the trailer, which was behind a road sweeper, from the roadside. Some gas bottles from the trailer were secured by the fire brigade.
No injuries were reported in the accident. The rest of the traffic is being diverted.
