The A17 (Dordrecht-Roosendaal) was closed at around half past six on Wednesday morning at the Noordhoek junction, between Oudenbosch and Zevenbergen. A crane truck was on fire. Rijkswaterstaat hopes that the road can be opened around noon.
Traffic in the direction of Roosendaal is advised to take a detour via Breda, via the A16 and the A58. Because it is a large vehicle, a heavy recovery company was called in to move the crane truck.
Ambulance
The driver of the crane truck was checked by ambulance personnel, but did not need to be taken to hospital.
