The march of Savino del Bene continues, knocking out bottom San Giovanni in Marignano with a clear 3-0, at the Palasport in Cervia, in just an hour and twenty minutes. Antropova absent, Bosetti and Ruddins are the offensive ends of the Tuscans (14 points for both), well served by Bechis who admirably replaces Ognjenovic in the control room (Mvp). For Scandicci Weitzel also did well on the block, together with Graziani. For the Romagna team, the offensive phase needed to be improved (just 37%), but this was certainly not the match to draw conclusions from, given the technical gap between the two sextets. Savino del bene who, after this victory, reaches Conegliano at the top of the standings at 14, while the first point has yet to arrive for San Giovanni.

St. John: Bracchi 11 points, team blocks 3, team aces 2

The Marches, who fought during the first two sets, scored only twelve points in the third. Obossa puts down 19 balls (with three blocks and an ace), Eckl 13 (two blocks and three aces), playing a great game and being named MVP of the match. Pinerolo conquers Pala Big Mat in the tie-break, after a long battle against Azzurra Volley Firenze. The two sextets faced each other head-on from the first ball, giving the spectators a very interesting match. MILAN-MACERATA 3-0 (25-21, 29-27, 25-16)

Milan didn’t spoil the celebration with the fans in their home stadium for the Super Cup won in Trieste and beat Macerata 3-0. A match that is not always obvious, especially in the second set when the guests waste 3 set points to equalize, but the difference, especially in attack, is felt. Thanks to an unstoppable Egonu (62% effectiveness and 51% efficiency), flanked by a Kurtagic MVP (10 points with 8 attacks and 3 blocks). Cbf Balducci shows the good things already seen at the beginning of the season, with Decortes as reference for the attack, but the reception fluctuates too much and is too inconsistent for the opponents on the block.

Milan: Egonu 19 points, Muri team 8, Ace team 0.

Macerata: Decortes 15 points, Muri team 2, Ace team 2.
