Credible scam messages have been sent via Booking.com, in which the scammers try to obtain, among other things, customers’ credit card information. Traficom’s Cyber Security Center warns that through the popular Booking.com hotel reservation service, messages have been sent to customers in which the sender is not the hotel, but a fraudster. The messages sent have been very believable, as real hotel reservation information has been added to the messages. Scam messages have typically included a link that directed the victim from the booking service or the hotel’s website to an impressive scam website.
