A farm with a thatched roof on the Witterhaar in Assen was on fire tonight. The flames rose meters high from the roof.
Due to the size of the fire, the fire brigade immediately scaled up to a ‘major fire’. Corps from Assen, Smilde, Beilen and Vries tried to get the fire under control. One of the residents was checked by ambulance personnel.
