Ex-Prince Andrew was arrested in February.

The investigation of ex-Prince Andrew will take a long time, the police estimate. PDO

The investigation into ex-Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is long and complicated, officials said on Friday. Tells about it Reuters.

The Daily Mail according to the official misconduct investigation against Andrew also covers a range of other crimes such as sexual misconduct and corruption.

The ex-prince was arrested in February on suspicion of abuse of office. According to Reuters, Andrew’s brother, King Charles, was interviewed hours after the arrest.

The arrest came shortly after the US Department of Justice released documents related to notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Thames Valley Police Assistant Superintendent Oliver Wright commented to the media on Friday that the investigation is thorough and will take time.

– The investigation examines several aspects of the alleged misconduct. So we are talking to several witnesses, Wright commented.

The focus of the investigation is the ex-prince’s role as special representative for trade and investments between 2001 and 2011. The emails released by the Department of Justice are considered to contain sensitive information for Epstein.

According to Wright, police are also evaluating reports that a female subject was taken to an address in Windsor in 2010 for sexual purposes. The alleged victim’s lawyer told the BBC that Epstein would have sent her to Britain to face the former prince.

According to Reuters, the woman has not filed a criminal complaint. According to the British police, some victims may be afraid because of the international attention.

According to Wright, the police have received a significant amount of information from the public and other sources. He hopes that anyone with relevant information will come forward to police.

So far, police have not received Epstein’s documents from the US Department of Justice.

– The work is ongoing and it is a complicated matter, but we are working hard on it, Wright stated.

The Thomas Valley police is not the only authority investigating possible crimes related to Epstein, Reuters reports.

On Thursday, Surrey Police said they were investigating two allegations of child sexual abuse. One of the incidents allegedly took place in the 1980s and the other between the mid-1990s and the year 2000. For now, there is no more detailed information about who is involved.
